Melton & District Model Club
We have come to the end of another successful year of Club Flying Competition so ably organised by our Club Secretary and Competition Secretary Roy Ridealgh. We managed to run 8 rounds of the competition and got defeated by the weather on a couple of occasions. Winter 2025 MDMC FlightSim Challenge. Dave Peet is kindly running our full-size flight simulator in the clubhouse on alternate Wednesday's and has set a number of flying and air navigation challenges for us. The challenges have names such "New York, New York" (NY NY), "Kamikaze", "Menai" (Taking a picture of the bridge over the Menai Straights) etc. There is a fee of £2 per session as part of the club fund raising challenge for the flyers. Unfortunately due to the poor weather forecasts for tomorrow and 30 November, the final rounds (9 & 10) of the Club Flying competition have been cancelled. Some words from Roy Ridealgh, our Competition Secretary :"Anyway, can i say thank you to all that have attended this year, been some excellent flying, and only a few silly mishaps. Special thanks to all who have travelled a distance to join in the fun & banter. Roll on 2026 😜. Results for club members championship will be given out at AGM, but non members championship is: 3rd place: Owen Seagrave 156 points.2nd place: Lewis Langwade 260 points.1st place: Simon Illsley 269 points.Well done to all. 🥳 ...
