I visited the new facility we have for model boating and it appears to be weed free. I plan to go there after my holiday in the 1st week of September to have a go. I do recommend that you have a means of retrieving your boat if it gets stuck in or with weeds (e.g, Fishing rod, reel and a tennis ball). Here are some pictures of the boat I intend to run on it. It is on the left as you travel from Melton to Kirby Bellars just before the countdown signs for the speed limit. It is £30 on top of the membership or £5 per day.
